Okay so I happen to be a rather large fan of the movies and I expected the games all to suck. Once I had heard that there
was a game of it coming out for the Nintendo Wii I jumped for joy as the thoughts of using the Wii-remote as a wand would
be amazingly fun. I wasn't that far off it is fun but once your farther into the game you learn more spells and most of them
mimic other spells during the game making it hard to cast some of them. I had some trouble using "The Wand" during the game
and couldn't seem to do a few of the spells as soon as I needed them. Once you turn on the game your first thought is "Wow
this is going to be a lot of fun" about ten minuets into the game you show up at Hogwarts and you become more excited by the
fact that you can go ANYWHERE on the grounds of Hogwarts. Well this turns into the biggest disappointment in the whole game
after about 20 minutes into it. Seeing how the first 30% of the game note thats 30%! which is hours of your time being wasted
is you basically running around the whole school trying to get students to join you, a large amount of students. The students
send you on "Missions" in order for you to get them to join "The DA's". The missions are mostly some snot nosed punk saying
something like "Professors (Insert name here) Test is to hard to read up on, could you please find me (Insert 8 items here)
and then I'll sign your list.". If you thought roaming the grounds would be fun i would have agreed with you before they sent
me on the 4-5 hours of running the grounds non-stop just to get students to sign the paper.
After finally getting passed this large task of finding all the students to join I lost every shred of enjoyment and sanity
for this game and placed it next to my Nintendo Wii for about three weeks saying to myself i needed to play more before writing
this. I'm am Not sorry to say I did not play more of this so called Game.
So here is the quick run down.
Graphics are about as good as a end of the life line of a game cube game or like ps2 graphics. the faces in the game don't
ever seem to look like the actors.
The camera has some really bad issues as it has real trouble following harry potter around.
The wand waving doesn't always seem to read the way you'd like it to.
The cut scenes were seconds long and were insanely bad with meshing things together and random shots of people just standing
in front of the camera.
The fighting seemed slow pasted seeing how it'd take for ever to cast the same spells over and over till the other person
fell down and stayed down.
And finally, the game play its just plain bad it takes the meaning of game play by the ear throws a dust rag at you and demands
to be cleaned up. The game just feels like your doing chores for your wicked step mother. If you choose to ignore my Review
for this game I'm fine with the fact youd rather waste 50 dollars on a stupid game instead of buying something fun like Resident
Evil 4 which is only $30 dollars anyways. But you better get a good look at the map below because your going to see it A Lot.
My Final say on this piece of trash is a HUGE
being the lowest possible for bad everything and a half for the cool fact of being able to free roam the castle.
Oh and you think I'm just picking on a bad movie based game, note the fact i could have just wrote out "Don't waste your time
or money!!" instead this short review.
